De Kwakel, September 2022 – Agriom congratulates Nico and Maria Wigchert on winning the first prize for the double-flowered Delphinium Dewi Spijker at the ninth product competition at Floriade Expo 2022.
Dewi Spijker won the first prize of the Delphinium product group with a score of 9.68. Dewi Spijker also appears to be popular with consumers: in a survey held among consumers who visited The Green House at the Floriade, Dewi Spijker received the highest score.
Dewi Spijker is a delphinium with long flower spikes with white, slightly purple flowers. The center of the flower is dark tinted.
The Dewi delphinium species are a joint product of nursery N.G. Wigchert and breeder Agriom. Nico Wigchert is one of the best delphinium growers in the world. By combining Nico’s cultivation knowledge and Agriom’s breeding techniques, an extensive range of Dewi varieties has been developed for cultivation in different climate areas.
